Last week we had a customer call us from Cairns, Australia (lovely spot 🙂 ) who was after bird netting materials and “know how” for bird netting installation. One of the requests for installation was access to electrical equipment (e.g. lights) and fire sprinklers mounted in the roof under the bird netting.
Often in the specifications builders/architects will request industrial zippers to be installed. What we tell our customers is this can be done and has been done but does create a maintenance issue latter on and increases the cost of installation. At this point, they’re interested in hearing more….
So, here is a tip on how to reduce cost and save the customer maintenance down the track. Draw strings can be inserted into the installation or simply use cable ties. All electricians carry cable ties as standard when working. They can then access exactly the spot they require then tie up the net when complete. By using this method it saves maintenance down the track decreases the cost of installation.
A simple solution that saves money and time.
